Welcome to the Witching Hour Chronicles. I'm your host, christine. So how has everybody been liking these astrology birth chart episodes? I know I've been really enjoying this. I'm kind of learning as I go because I didn't know a whole lot about this, so it's been pretty fascinating for me. Last episode we did the first house in your birth chart. There are 12. We're going to get through all 12 houses and the planets in each house. It's pretty fascinating. It's confusing.
Speaker 1:I gotta make a correction on something that I did get wrong last week. I mentioned how your birth chart looks like a clock and it goes in a counterclockwise direction and everything I've been reading says start at nine o'clock. Well, as I'm reading this, the one chart I was looking at the nine I was like wait, that's not nine o'clock, that's a. There was a nine at the one o'clock so I was just automatically assumed that's where it started. So it was like like a clock, but numbered differently. I don't know exactly what I was thinking, but the more research I did it does start at nine o'clock. The nine I was looking at was the ninth house. So start at nine o'clock and go in a counterclockwise position, and the first house does start at your rising sign. So I'm going to do this episode like I did last and give you a little brief explanation on what traits of you are your second house and that also depends on what planet was in that house at the time of your birth. So the second house, kind of is your material realm. It's your five senses taste, smell, sound, touch, sight. It is the first of four. Let me see if I'm pronouncing this right succendant houses. So that's the first of four. So the second, fifth, eighth and eleventh house are all sucendant houses. So these sit in between the ones I talked about last week, which were angular houses, and the next set of houses that I'll be getting to are candid houses. I think I'm saying that right, but hey, who knows, I try. So these houses are a lot like a fixed zodiac sign.
Speaker 1:The second house is where you find your comfort, your pleasures, yeah, the materialistic things in your life. So let's get into the planets. So if you were born with the sun in your second house, you are a very patient and practical person, like to go through life at a steady pace, you're very sensible, you take your time and you build things up right so that you get it right the first time, you, and it's how you bring comfort to your life. If you have the moon in your second house, you are very dependable, kind of like the rock for everybody around you. You take your time and invest in your relationships, but don't get too comfortable, because what this is what this, this article and actually I'm going to put a link to this article in the show notes because I just got the basics and there was a lot more in detail explanation but it's funny because this one says don't get too comfortable. Relationships can flatline, but also the moon makes you very stubborn. All right, mercury.
Speaker 1:In the second house, you like to process all your information with clear, step-by-step instructions. You like concrete evidence before you make any kind of decisions. You do have a stubborn streak and tend to resist change and new ideas. You like routine. All right, venus, you are very relaxed and that is the key for you to be receptive to any kind of like really feelings and stuff. You tend to be a hopeless romantic, but that's really all I saw on Venus.
Speaker 1:Mars, let's see where did it go. Okay, you are very practical and tenacious. You are a very hard worker. I mean you do this because you want to obtain financial security. That's how you are most comfortable, but you also tend to limit yourself because you get caught up in that comfort, and this is another thing that I read. It says it would be wise to develop a greater risk appetite in this lifetime. So don't be afraid to try new things and take risks.
Speaker 1:Jupiter you definitely like the finer things and you tend to overindulge. You definitely like tradition and your certain rituals, and that's how you are happiest. You need to be anchored on solid ground before you really feel safe doing anything. Saturn you are very disciplined and have a great worth ethic, but you'd also need to set some boundaries with your time, because you tend to just work, work, work. Uranus you like to definitely take what you have and make sure there's enough for everyone else around you. That's really all I'm seeing on that one is that, yeah, you definitely are very motivated by helping others.
Speaker 1:Neptune you're very dreamy. Okay, this is what this article says, and I'm going to just quote this what it reads, because it just I can't really word it any better. Neptune when flowy, dreamy Neptune lands in the practical, structured second house, things get weird. In the practical, structured second house, things get weird. This cosmic conflict of interest can make it hard to anchor in any sort of daily schedule. The key lies in turning your routines into rituals. So there you have it Pluto. You're very financially savvy. You definitely know how to bring the money in and you can turn any situation into a profitable opportunity.
Speaker 1:I did see this article and that's all the planets I did see. So what if on your birth chart it shows that your house has no planets in it? That's what you can call kind of a blank canvas, and pretty much you don't have anything there saying this is who you are. You can be whoever you want to be. Also, they don't always just stay empty, because you know the moon and the planets, they all move in orbit, they all change, just like. That's why your signs change. That's why your rising sign changes every couple hours, because everything's always moving, and that is sorry.
Speaker 1:This episode is a lot shorter than all my others so far and I'm sorry for that, but that's really. I think they're all going to kind of be this way unless there's a whole. Certain planet has a lot of, a lot of I don't know. I can't use my words today. You get what I'm saying. So yeah, next week we're going to look at the third house in the planets. Yeah, find me on Facebook. Find me on Instagram and TikTok for now, even though I don't have any posts that I want to do for these episodes I'm not sure yet If you have any ideas on episodes to do for these episodes. I'm not sure yet. If you have any ideas on episodes, feel free to reach out and email me or find me on social media, but that's all I got. Good night.
