In this part 1 of a 3 part series, I will teach you all about your sun sign and what part of you it makes up. Over the next few episodes I will also teach you about your moon and rising sign. And how all 3 of them tie together to make up your personality.

Welcome to the Witching Hour Chronicles. I am your host, christine. How was everybody's Christmas? Mine was great, busy. I'm exhausted, but I feel like that's most people the day after Christmas, so I'm just going to jump right into this episode and then at the end of the episode I'll give you some podcast updates, because I did some things a few days ago that I want to update you all on this episode. It's a listener request.
Speaker 1:I'm going to talk about astrology a little bit. I think a lot of people know that pretty much what they understand about astrology is, hey, I'm a Capricorn, but they don't really know like a whole lot of what that means. They don't know that that's called your sun sign. They don't know that you also have a moon sign, a rising sign, and these three things kind of tie together to make you who you are. So you might hear that, yep, that's a typical Capricorn thing, that Capricorns are this, capricorns are that. But you might not necessarily feel like that's you. It's because you might. It's the way these three things kind of tie together. So this is gonna be a three-part series I'm doing. In this episode I'm just gonna talk about your sun sign and the personality traits that go with that and then next week it will be your moon sign and I'm gonna tell you how the moon sign and your sun sign kind of work together to create who you are. And then the following week I will do your rising sign and kind of tie them all together and how that makes you you kind of thing. So your sun sign is what constellation the sun was in on the day you were born and so that's all you need to know is the day you were born, day and month, which I'm pretty sure you all should know that. So your sun sign kind of is your personality. It is like the essence of it, like the core of who you are is your sun sign. So I'm going to go through all 12 zodiacs and give some personality traits on each one and it's just going to be brief because I don't want these episodes to. So far I've done between no longer than like 18 minutes I think was my longest episode. So I don't want these. I didn't do all three of these in one episode because I didn't want to go too far over that, because I don't want anyone being like this is boring, I'm turning this off. So that is why I decided to break this up into three parts, but it'll be fun. So let's get started.
Speaker 1:I'm going to start with Aries, that goes from March 20, april 19th. The element is fire and it's ruled by the planet Mars. Aries tend to have really big personalities but also have a bit impulsive. They don't like to just sit back and watch. They like to actually get in on everything. They don't like just sitting around. They don't do boredom, they are very what kind of exciting thing can I get into next? They do also tend to have quite a temper at times. It's that fiery streak. I mean, they're ruled by the element fire, or that is, their element is fire. So they're seeking new thrills constantly. But they tend to be natural leaders and they get things done.
Speaker 1:Taurus, april 20th through May 20th, and the element is fire and the planet is Venus. Taurus tend to be very stable people. They also tend to really like the finer things in life and enjoy luxury. But I mean it's well deserved because they're hard workers, very dependable, yeah. So they can also be very stubborn when they are. Have it set on what they want, they go for it, and that stubborn streak doesn't usually that kind of stops them from giving up. I guess you can say. So that's Taurus.
Speaker 1:Gemini, may 21st through June 20th. Element Air, planet Mercury. Now, what I've read on this one is natural communicator, very curious. They tend to have lots of different interests and aspirations and their life kind of goes in lots of different directions because they're always wanting to start new things, they're always curious about new things. They are known to be quick-witted, constantly buzzing with ideas. They are known to be great communicators. But yeah, so that's Gemini. Cancer, june 21st through July 22nd. Element water. Planet the moon. Let's see, they tend to be very emotionally intelligent and have a very tender soul, but can have a really like a tough streak. So they are no pushover Because they are ruled by the moon. It gives them a strong intuition and they're really good at reading people. They are good at being able to walk into a room full of people and reading the emotions in the room. They make great friends. So yeah, that's Cancer.
Speaker 1:Leo, july 3rd through August 22nd. Element Fire. Planet Sun. So Leos tend to be very charming and outgoing and kind of like to be the center of attention, which I feel like any leos I know are definitely. That definitely describes the ones I know. They are full of confidence and it shows they, it definitely shows they kind of have a dramatic flair about things as well and, oh my gosh yes, I am thinking of a certain person I know as a Leo and this is definitely describing that person. They can also be natural born leaders and I think that has a lot to do with the whole. I'm going to be the center of attention, so I'm going to tell everyone else what to do, kind of thing. They can be kind of domineering and bossy and their ego can definitely get in the way of a lot of things.
Speaker 1:All right, virgo, august 23rd through September 22nd. Element Earth, planet Mercury. So they tend to be like perfectionists. They have an ability to look at a situation or problem and come up with solutions very easily. So because they're ruled by Mercury, which is a planet of ideas and information, they can be incredibly perceptive, can also look at situations objectively and offer great advice. They also like to be in control of dictating and organizing. They could come across as bossy and inflexible, which I kind of see that. I got a few Virgos in my life and I always say, okay, you're an asshole, virgo. And if they're listening, they know who I'm talking about because I have said that to them more than once, but being a perfectionist makes them good at what they do. And, yeah, so that's a Virgo for you.
Speaker 1:Libra, september 23rd through October 22nd. Element Air planet, venus. See, this is what I researched and this is what I read, but I don't know. Like I said, this doesn't necessarily describe you. You might be one of these signs I've read so far and it might not feel like you connect with that, which is okay because you won't always. Like I said, we're doing other episodes on the rest of, like the moon and the rising.
Speaker 1:Okay, so this says Libras are likely to be a social butterfly, but they do value harmony over conflict, which definitely I don't know about the social butterfly part, but the harmony over conflict for sure. They tend to understand the importance of being agreeable and easy to communicate, with the importance of being agreeable and easy to communicate with. They crave balance and often find themselves taking on a role of mediator in group settings, relationships at work, making you highly likable and easy to get along with. And that's a Libra. My son is a Libra, but he is definitely not a social butterfly but and he definitely doesn't like drama whatsoever he can have a little bit of a temper on him. So, yeah, this definitely in a lot of ways describes my son and in a lot of ways it doesn't, which I find very interesting.
Speaker 1:Anyways, scorpio is next October 3rd through November 1st. Element water planet. See, this one said planet was Mars and Pluto, which I found very interesting. But Scorpios tend to be very passionate and determined, and this is funny because this article I read said Master of mysterious charm, effortlessly captivating. Yeah, which interesting. I know several Scorpios as well, but they tend to be have this strength about them that you wouldn't see coming, which makes it easy for them to calming, which makes it easy for them to adapt to their surroundings and just the situations going on around them. When it comes to work life relationships, scorpios tend to be all in and have kind of an intense dedication to it. But, unlike a lot of other water signs who usually kind of let the feelings flow, they tend to keep their feelings very guarded. Scorpios prioritize truth and honesty above anything else. So that's Scorpio for you.
Speaker 1:Sagittarius, november 22nd through December 21st Element Fire planet Jupiter. So Sagittarius tend to be very energetic thrill seekers. They kind of find it challenging to stay in one place for too long. Jupiter is the planet of knowledge and expansion. You kind of like to learn new things and you want to learn it with like firsthand experience. There's very little that intimidates a Sagittarius yeah, always seeking the next big thrill or experience. But if you're always on the go and always looking for the next thrill, it can make it hard to commit to the bigger picture. So it's you need to find a balance. I guess you can say and that's really hard for Sagittarius All right, capricorn, december 22nd, through Element Earth, planet Saturn.
Speaker 1:So Capricorns can be very ambitious, effortlessly taking the reins in every aspect of life. I guess and I'm not even reading from my notes here born leaders for sure. They definitely like to be in charge. I'd rather not be told what to do and I'd rather be the one telling everyone else what to do. Anyways, let's see where did I leave off?
Speaker 1:Ruled by Saturn, capricorns are driven by a deep-seated desire to leave a memorable mark on the world, even before fully coming to your own authority. Oh, this is another thing I read in this article. It says Capricorns age in reverse, truly flourishing with age. As they mature they can pursue the dreams that they've always had. And Capricorns come across as very reserved and unapproachable and, trust me, I have been told that many times, but it's the opposite. I feel like I want to read the room, I want to read the situation before I just let my guard down and let people see who I really am. I guess and that is a definite Capricorn thing. Okay, so we're going to go on to Aquarius next, which is January 20th through February 18th. Element Air planet Saturn slash Uranus.
Speaker 1:Aquarius tend to be visionaries. They're definitely on a quest for the truth and justice. They are not afraid to challenge anything. Definitely, they are fearless about speaking out when things aren't right. They sometimes they feel like a loner, they feel misunderstood, but it's because they are well, like I said, they are unafraid to challenge things. So, anyways.
Speaker 1:So let's go on to Pisces, february 19th through March 20th. Element water planet Jupiter slash Neptune. Creative daydreamer blessed with endless imaginative ideas. In this article it described Pisces sorry, I just did Aquarius Pisces with a mind like a vast ocean, with dreams and fantasies waiting to be explored. They tend to find themselves lost in the clouds, always just daydreaming. It's very easy for them to get losing touch with the demands of reality and it's very easy for them to just slip into their emotions, but that's kind of their strength. But if they're not careful that can also definitely lead them astray from the path they need to be on.
Speaker 1:So yeah, those are all 12, and that's your sun sign. Those are just traits your sun sign gives you. Next week we will learn about your moon sign and what traits of you that your moon sign affects. Like I said, once all these three are done, it makes the whole of a person. So this episode is definitely a little longer. This is interesting because I've always like no, I haven't really studied all these, but kind of picked up some stuff over the years, but now sitting down and actually reading about it, it's quite fascinating.
